I am planning to test out Mark Schof ield’s (shellac, poly, gel poly) finish as discussed in FWW 214. But I am new to the Perth area and have been looking for, among other things, a natural bristle brush and gel poly. No luck at the local Bunnings (Home Depot clone) . Suggestions?

Try Carba-tec (in Balcatta) or Timbercon (Bentley).

Good Idea
Thanks, Derek, went by Carba-tec and loaded up with a number of good purchases on Saturday, granite plate, dewaxed shellac, and some bits and bobs.
They don't have anything like gel varnish, Bartley or Petri or General Finishes. May have to wait to tackle Schofield's finishing technique until I fly back to the US.
Try Bunnings for a gel varnish.
Edit: aaahhh ... you did that already.
Regards from Perth
Derek
