A while back we learned that after Auriou went out of business someone or a group of someones purchased the factory and were planning to resume production…has anyone heard or know how that plan is progressing?

I just saw in my latest Woodcraft catalog that they are clearing them out.
Classic Hand Tools have been selling off the remaining stocks on behalf of the investors who bought the tooling and stocks when the company was dissolved. The proceeds are said to be going towards the setup of the new company this summer.

its hard to find any left in the internet stores. I have seen a few on ebay.
I haven't heard about any new owners (maybe I missed that bit), but that the previous owner was hoping for labor law reform in france, and then maybe he would re-open it and be able to afford running a business and making a little of the evil profit.
Maybe M. Auriou should consider moving to the New World and setting up shop in the United States or Canada.
If he offered skilled craftsman wages, I'm sure he'd be welcomed, particularly if he looked South in places where industry has moved overseas, leaving behind 30%+ unemployment rates of skilled workers.Leon
