Friends,
I will be out at Big Sky, Montana from March 7-14 for the IEEE Aerospace Conference. Any woodworkers in the vicinity?

Being Montana and all, shouldn't you ask if there will be anyone there? Why add a constraint?
Hastings
PS Enjoy your trip!
Hastings,
I have been going to Big Sky every year for a decade. I didn't know that most of that time, one of the worlds' great carvers lived near there - and he was a regular on Knots - Lee Grindinger! Unfortunately for me, Lee is no longer a carver, and he isn't in Montana. He is on an island, and he has switched career to international money trading. Sure would have liked to meet him. Who knows? Maybe there is a second woodworker in Montana? :-)

Geez Mel, you'll be nearly half way to Juneau! (Well not quite, but why fuss?) Why don't you make the rest of the trip and I'll buy you lunch. ;!)
Verne
Whoops! Actually, I'll be in Seattle March 12-17 so you'll have to meet me there -- but I know some great places for lunch in Seattle too.
If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there to cut it up and make something with it . . . what a waste!

If you get a small sheet of Teflon to sit on, Mel, you could always butt-slide down the map to New Mexico. ;)
Ralph,
My wife was talking about taking a trip to New Mexico sometime in the next year. Our second kid went to Univ of New Mexico, and we came to love Albuquerque, even if I can't spell it. Where is Rio Rancho in New Mexico?

Mel, Rio Rancho is just across the river, northwest of All-be-quirky proper. Or, north of the Westside of ABQ.Give me a shout if you travel this direction.

Ralph,
Good to know where you live. I will give you a shout before we get out there. No specific plans right now. But my wife planted a thought.

Montana.. No wood there as I recall!
Will George,
"Montana.. No wood there as I recall!"I don't think anyone has been to Montana to find out if there is any wood there. I will post a message when I get back. MelMeasure your output in smiles per board foot.
Of course there's wood in Montana. It's just that they call 'em trees, and use 'em to build log cabins. ;-)
