This stuffs expensive and i only want to mix as much as I’ll need plus a little. Thanks, John

jpohja,
I save my peanut butter jars and make up 8 oz. batches. This allows me to easily blend dyes and cuts down on the number of dyes I need to buy. I think with 3 primary dyes you can create all their colors...its on their website I believe.
How much will 8 oz. cover? My guess would be something the size of an entertainment center (40"x6')but it's easy to mix a bit more if needed.
Thanks for the info; it gives me a rough idea as to how much i'll need. I figure mixing another batch might be a little tricky as far as matching the color exactly. John
While you should only mix as much as you need, I would definately err on the side of too much, rather than attempt to mix up another half ounce of the same colour.Chris @ http://www.flairwoodwork.spaces.live.com(soon to be http://www.flairwoodworks.com)
