Can someone recommend a good way to fill the voids in amboyna burl before finishing?

I am assuming you are finishing amboyna burl veneer? With that assumption, I would add my method when I finished out some of this burl. I mixed very fine sawdust(maple and some walnut for dark spots) with Olde Brown Glue(hide). I used an auto body Bondo plastic spreader and leveled and spread. Left it overnight and sanded to a silky smooth surface with very little discoloration. I did not get the cloudiness I get when I use some of the commercial grain fillers. Very pleased and the hide does not interfere with the finish. Good stuff. Try a sample you might like this method.
