Does anybody have any idea where I can purchase those alum bars in the picture? I can get the alum stock here, but the price to get it all welded together is not worth it. It’s my aunt’s custom dog crate. She wants one just like it and can’t remember who built it. I would appreciate any input.

I can't tell from the picture what is welded. Are they round bars welded to a flat strip frame? If so, you may not need to weld them. Just drill them through and bore holes in the wood so the bars can extend long enough to not fall out.
Are they round bars welded to a flat strip frame? Yes, That's the only pic I have right now.
I like your idea. I was so set on putting the bars and frame in one piece it never occurred that I could assemble in place. Thanks.
jpawl, They look like hollow square extruded aluminum tubing
Try mac Master-Carr Or do as I do Go to a large scrap metal dealer and buy some by the pound If they dont have square, try round or U shaped (Channel) Turn the U's around to show the flat surface to the outside. Stein
Actually, the crate you show is made differently.
The window opening is framed with aluminum angle iron, screwed to the inside, sized to fit the thickness of the wood framing.
The bars are aluminum stock (3/8) I believe.
Holes are drilled in the aluminum angle to fit and the unit is set into the frame.
You could weld the aluminum, but it's not really needed. You can also epoxy it.
How do I know this, I'm building crates for my house and took a close look at this type of crate for ideas.
