I just got a washable filter for my Jet air filter. It didn’t come with any directions for proper washing. Anybody familiar with this item?

I think that a reasonable method would be to simply rinse it from the "clean" side with a hose and set it aside to dry.
That seems like the most reasonable course to me. But I thought I'd better check to see if there would be someone who would scream NO! You'll ruin it if you don't use Frammel cleaner and a 0000000 wire brush!

I would wash it from both the inside and outside using a fine spray that isn't too strong. If you notice the inside has a reinforcing mesh that holds the filter fabric in place, I would start with it and gently spray the dust to the outside for removal, then repeat. Make sure it's washable.
I have one. Just rinse with water and let dry. I've had mine for about 5 years and it still works and looks fine.
