Hi all, I am going to be installing a Air Compressor for my workshop as well as a barn and mechanic shop here at work. Can I install this in the barn which is not heated? it is protected from the weather and I would install a drain to drain at the end of each day. I would hate to have to listen to the thing all day indoors.
Thanks
Dana

You can install it in an unheated space but the drain won't work if it is so cold that the water freezes in the tank.

Thanks
Dana,
It will be fine. In my first shop we had the compressors outside under a small shed roof. They lived like that until we moved to the present shop. They will get warm enough during the time they are running that they will drain just fine. We never had a problem with them freezing. Almost every large body shop in this area has them outside.
