   More hose is the better way to do it; the voltage drop from using an extension cord will cause many compressors to trip a breaker- especially on a 15 amp circuit.

    JC21 is right on the money, and he could have added, with a longer lenght of air hose, you add more capacity for storing compress air..............Pop
