I was wondering what everyone else thought of these plans. I found the site while browsing for something else. I was thinking about maybe adjusting the table to allow for a series of filters rather than just one type. Any comments and feedback would be appreciated.

Looks like a winner to me! I think the idea of using a series of filters is a good one. Try finding the kind that can be washed out; the others can be rather expensive and are sure to clog rather quickly.
Since I'm a bit anal retentive, I would put a good coat of epoxy paint on any surfaces that come in contact with dust, just to keep things a bit cleaner.

Eric,
First off, neat site, I bookmarked that sucker for future visits. Thanks.
I like the design but I have to think the exhaust vent is going to blow floor dust around and if its used as a sanding table it's going to use a lot of filters. The washable filter to protect the expensive filter is a good idea. If you could design it right the multi filter is a good idea, but the good old 20x20's have been around a long time and come in many different types. A cheap filter to protect the 3M Filter is a good one, I spent $16-$18 for my furnance ouch.
This forum just KEEPS getting me thinking.
I have a feeling this is going to be a hot thread.
Enjoy, Roy
