I have built a shaker style pie safe and it has 12 punched tin panels 10″x 14″ that I punched on 26 ga galv. sheet metal. What chemical do I use to age these panels?

VanDyke's sells an aging solution designed for tin. OOPS! I just checked your original message and noticed that you used galvanized steel. You'll need something that will react with zinc, and my chemistry is too rusty (pun intentional) to make a suggestion.

You can get it black with applications, or go light for different look. You can steel wool off some of the color and sheen if you get it too dark. And whats leftover can touch up the rust spots on your shootin sticks.
Dowd, you could ask the folks at http://www.modernoptions.com which of their patina solutions to use on zinc. Their products are available at places that sell art supplies (e.g., Aaron Brothers) or crafts (Michael's).
