I’m not certain which thread or which person was discussing the dovetail saw sold by Adria recently, but it caught my interest. I checked the website and ended up purchasing a plane from them. I got the ECE Primus English Pattern Plane. I wanted to thank whomever mentioned Adria because I am very happy so far with the plane.
If anyone else out there has one of these planes please let me know if you like it and how it holds up over time and use.
I always learn something new on this website.
Thanks, Jim

Is that really an Adria plane? I was under the impression that Adria sold ECE planes in much the same way that Lie-Nielsen offers select tools from other manufacturers.
Or, is ECE a brand of Adria? I'm pretty sure I have send them sold by other dealers.

You're absolutely right, it is made by ECE. I have not run across them before however, so I gave the credit for selling them to Adria. I'll be more accurate next time. In fact I'll edit it now. Thanks, Jim
james,
don't have the handplane, but i've been using their dovetail saw for about 2 years. lovely tool! used a gents saw for a long time prior to that. when i first put the adria to work, i was amazed at the wonderful difference.

Eef:Thanks for the feedback. I need one more plane and then I buy their dovetail saw.Jim
ECE are a German company which still makes thier own brand wooden planes. They can be had with or without adjusters. The whole range includes scrub, smoothers, jack planes, trying planes and many other tools. To see range in full have a loom at the Dick AB web site.
