Yesterday, I was speaking to a fellow who was telling me about a abrasive nylon wire brush attachment for an angle grinder made by Osborn. He had worn his out and was looking for a new one. He said that it excells for polishing carved surfaces. It produces a very smooth surface without destroying ridge detail. Infact, he compared the finished surface to that of glass! Has anyone used one before? Is my description accurate? I found a good selection on Ackland Grainger’s site. The cost for a 2-1/2″ wheel is about $23 and a 3″ wheel is $34. http://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AGIPortalWeb/WebSource/ProductDisplay/SearchItemsfromCategoriesAction.do?catId0=1&catName0=Abrasives%20&groupid=1&catId1=23&catName1=COMPOSITE%20WHEEL%20BRUSHES&levelCount=1

It will still wear away the soft grain if not careful. We use the Makita brush machine seen athttp://http://www.timberwolftools.com/tools/makita/M-9741.html
Get a couple different brushes and see for yourself what it does.
