I am not convinced about 3-D sanders. I think that trying one for a day or so rates me as qualified to offer a bit of advise and please share your own thoughts about them. Before you put this type to your toolbox ask yourself these questions;
Do you feel lucky.. . .?
Do I want this many sanding swirl marks and inconsistent wheely black things things, the Velcro hook, stuck to your wood?
I could use this as a beard abrasive on the hairy and hard haired cutting type. Lol!
What if future sanders did look like shavers!
New shaver in next post edit.

New style?
lol, the idea of a 3-d sander is a good one I think, the only problem is that there isn't enough effort put into the development of a good one that I know of. It seems like craftsman has been pumping out lots of new tool ideas lately, some which seem interesting, but too bad their quality is so poor. It would take an awful lot to get me to buy a craftsman tool. Maybe Bosch, Porter Cable, Makita, Milwaukee ect should hire some industrial designers to create some new, innovative, QUALITY products.
