From a local supplier to the deaf I purchased a doorbell, transmitter and three strobes. Phone cord plugs into the transmitter, which also receives wireless signal from doorbell. When the transmitter is activated it in turn sends out signal over the 120V wiring to the three remote strobes plugged into outlets.
There is a 120V outlet on the transmitter that I could use to sound a ringer or buzzer when doorbell is pushed and I’m in the bathroom or furnace room. For this I’d like to find a self-contained ringer or buzzer with pre-wired 120V plug the size of a cell phone charger – just a self contained plastic rectangle with plug.
Grainger catalog and Google search on “120V plug in buzzer” didn’t find anything. Has anyone seen what I’m after. Have to admit the system works well when I’m using jointer, planer, tablesaw, but I probably have a couple hundred investsed.

Don, it's called a portable phone.
buzz-buzz, buzz-buzz
Although most of the buzzers I've seen operate on 6v or 12v, there's bound to be a big one that takes 120v out there somewhere. If not, a doorbell transformer and a low-voltage buzzie-buzz should work.
