This chair is loaded with exposed joinery. Just about every intersection has an exposed joint featured. The legs were turned and have rosewood feet that are joined with pegged tenons as well. I made two of these, and enjoyed every minute of it.
The front seat rail is joined to the side rails with half blind dovetails. The front legs are joined to the rails in a coped and nothced section and screwd through the rail into the corner blocks. Plugs hide the screws. These are the only screws used in the chair.
The side seat rails are joined to the back legs with pegged tenons. The back seat rail is joined to the side rails with through tenons.
The backrest support is joined to the legs with a finger joint.
