My first attempt at marquetry. I used dovetails for the case and drawer construction. I utilized a base frame and a molding frame For the feet and top. Made of curley maple and cherry. The tree and hummingbirds are different veneers. I included the traditional hidden drawer behined the crown molding. All together I have close to 150 man hrs in it. I enjoyed every one of them. I finnished it with shellac.
