2008 Christmas Gifts

I made 24 of these small desk clocks for Christmas gifts. Most are for my husbands employees, but a few went to family and friends. The clocks were my own design, made from maple. The majority of them have a purpleheart inlay. When I ran out of purpleheart I used some walnut I had laying around. I have never done any sort of inlay so this was something new for me to try. I pretty much layed out the design in my head and went from there. I think next time I will get a book on inlay and maybe do a better job with a lot less waste.
The 3 dial clock is for me. It has time, temp. and humidy. This will be kept in my shop(garage) for gluing and finishing reference. I decided to try something different with this one. The inlay is made from Inlace dye mixed with System Three epoxy.
Thanks for looking.
