This is the final of three boxes that I have made a christmas gifts. The box is sized to hold two bottles of wine (outside dimensions are 14×9 x 6” high). It is made of maple, a walnut strip and a cherry top. The legs and handle are from bits of scrap walnut. The lightly curved top is a bent lamination made from four 1/8 inch strips of book matched cherry backed with 1/8 inch mahogany (old baseboard) strips. The box was finished with a couple coats of walnut oil and beeswax.
