Mahogany, Carbon Fiber and fiberglass.

My first iteration of this design was a tandem boat that I based on a 1923 George Crouch designed mahogany speedboat called Baby Bootlegger.

This boat is 14' long by 26" wide. Built of strip-planked, bookmatched mahogany with carbon fiber and fiberglass reinforcement. The strips are 1/8" thick.

I fitted this one out with a carved mahogany and maple seat with carbon fiber reinforced back rest support.

This boat was made as a matched set with a tandem version. All the mahogany came from two flitch-cut consecutive planks.

Plans are available for those who want to build their own.

Go there at your own risk; it's a site to inspire dreams. But from the looks of your contributions you are up to it.
