Cherry Crib

Crib built from cherry for my 4 month old son.  He'll be graduating from his cradle in our living room to this crib in the nursery in the next few days.  Finish is 3 coats of Danish Oil, the last rubbed out with 600 grit sandpaper.

dankolesar dankolesar writes: I went with a minimalist approach - all I did was install four triangular blocks of wood that sit inside the legs that the pine bedframe sits on. These support blocks are installed with wood nuts (external threads to install into inside of leg, internal threads to accept furniture bolts) and bolts. I did this for two levels: high, for until the baby can sit up (shown) and low, where the pine frame sits even with the bottom rail. There have been no escapes this far...
