"Amadeo" Shoes cabinet

This shoes cabinet is named "Amadeo" because makes a reference to the nudes painting made by Amadeo Modigliani, the Italian "avant garde" painter who is the inspiration of this work. 
 
Is make with Cherry wood and beech wood and MDF board veneered with cherry and beech veneers.

What I did is cut the veneer overlapping both of them. I used a pattern made with a 3 mm plywood and then joint the profile with a adhesive tape. So I used hide glue and a veneer hammer to glue it, used a press with clamps and in the end use the saw table to cut the final size and angles.

mokusakusensei mokusakusensei writes: My wife saw this and now I have yet another cabinet to build and she thinks that she will have to fill it with shoes. Good looking cabinet. Did you use a vac bag or did you use hide glue and veneer hammer to apply the veneer?
