Silver Maple Vessel
comments (0) August 18th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
Silver Maple crotch wood salvaged from a tree cutting service. Approximately 8 1/4" tall.
I turned this from a green log and then allowed it to slowly dry in a plastic bag. The finish is wipe-on satin poly. There are growth rings on both sides of the bark inclusion marking where the tree began to split into two large trunks.
