Large Shaker Trestle Table

Metal brackets and cut-out in cross-brace are for holding leaf struts.

104" long, 38" wide, I think this is the biggest thing I've made. With leaves at each end the length becomes 124". The top is an inch thick, but because of the length I started milling with 6/4 stock. Couldn't have done it without my neighbor's 14" jointer. Lucky to live in a woodworking neighborhood. Table is cherry with hand-rubbed oil finish.
