Tool makers are gearing up for the 2010 International Woodworking Fair (IWF) held in Atlanta, August 25-28. Fine Woodworking editors will be at the show throughout its run to see all the new tools and products making their debut at the show. We got a sneak peek at some of the new introductions. Here are some of the best.
Lamello Clamex PFine Woodworking editor, Asa Christiana described Lamello’s new biscuit-shaped Clamex P connector as a “Domino for knock-down furniture.” The reversible biscuit joint uses a special biscuit joiner to make the sturdy connection. Click on the video for a demonstration of how it works.

Clamex P very cool.
See you in Atlanta. It looks like the 2010 IFW is downsized considerably from 2008. It will be interesting to see how the furniture/woodworker industry has responded to this economy. I see that there's a lot of conferences and seminars on reducing costs and finding new business. I would have to think that the tool manufactures will cutting or reducing too. With the exception of the Bosch miter saw, I haven't seen any previews for "revolutionary" new tools.
My primary interests will be looking at 12" jointers and what's new in waterborne finishes.
