This piece is a heavily chip carved Desk Kaddy.  The prime wood is butternut with some basswood.   It conains 5 drasers behind the center doors, 3 drawers in the top section and mail slots behind the doors on each side.   The finish is 6 coats of semigloss polyurethane.
