Walnut Coffee Table

The table's upswept "arms" are constructed with a mortise and tenon frame with bent plywood skins on each side. The base is four-way book-matched veneer over aspen with bread board edging all around. The table sits on casters which are placed out of view to make the table appear to float over the floor. The center shelf is a marble tile suspended on dyed aspen rods. The glass top floats over the "arms" so as not to hide the beauty of the tile or the base. This table won a second place at the Florida State Fair.
