Cradle Rocker

I wanted a rocking chair that the cradle could be removed from after the child did not fit the cradle. Also the rocker with the cradle attached is very hard to move in and out of rooms. I built the cradle with it's own rocker so it could be removed from the rocking chair. The chair and cradle are made of walnut and finished with oil/varnish.

Joe Blade writes: Great idea! Once the baby grows out of the cradle the rocker reverts back to a conventional piece. I'd be interested to know how you make the temporary connection of the cradle to the rocker. Beautiful work. Joe
