Two bowls finished in time for christmas

A few years ago I asked a friend if I could have two cherry logs from his wood pile that had some burls. I cut them up and let them sit for a while until this year when I got a lathe. These are the first two bowls from those logs and from the new lathe. I especially like the spalting in the first bowl. I hope to make many more.
