Oval Coffee Table
comments (0) June 22nd, 2010 in Reader's Gallery
This coffee table is made from Mulberry with a surround of Red Oak and inlay of Purpleheart and white oak.The table was actually built because of the Red Oak. I salvaged an old weather beaten fence and recycled the wood into a chest of drawers. (Wish I could post that here, it's a recycling tour-de-force, but alas, it's not a table). Don't find many fences made out of rough hewn oak these days. I had some oak left over and had to find a use for it. It simply had too much personality to let it go to waste. The Mulberry I got my hands on has some pretty interesting grain as well.
