Adjustable Music Stands
comments (0) December 25th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
Adjustable music stands for my kids. One from solid Cherry and one from solid Walnut. The ratcheting mechanism allows height adjustment for sitting or standing positions. The stands were made to be disassembled for shipping to my kids. The bases reassemble using furniture connector bolts. The desks (tops) are held together with sliding dovetails. The carved verses were done on a CompuCarve and painted with gold metallic paint before the final finish was applied. The Cherry stand was stained before using a clear satin poly. The Walnut stand is natural with only a clear satin poly finish. The verse is from Psalms 100: "Make a Joyful noise unto the Lord."
Design or Plan used: My Own Design - Using a ratcheting concept I've seen used on other types of projects.
