Pecan vase by Jim O'Donnell

10 inch Buggy pecan vase. The log came from a pecan grove in South Central Georgia at Christmas time a few years ago. I noticed the look of drill holes within the log a few months later. When I realized that it was infested, I let the beetles chew for awhile. After fumigating the log 3 times, all beetles ware killed. The log was then turned and the holes (packed hard with sawdust-type material) were painstakingly cleaned out with dental instruments.
