Springtime Cabinet

This cabinet is a collaboration with my wife, Amanda, whose marquetry designs are inspired by nature in our local Washington, DC area. We created this piece to display at the Smithsonian Craft Show and features dogwood flowers and a robin which are common scenes in springtime Washington.
The background veneer for the case is rift sawn curly maple veneered to shop made plywood. The base is cherry.
