TV Console

I did this project for a friend of my son who couldn’t find a TV console long enough for his needs. The 6 foot cabinet is birch ply, the frame, edging and doors are poplar. He wanted it black and it took 3 coats of ebony stain to get it where he wanted it. The finish is water based poly. He sent me a photo to go by and the length and I took it from there. I used a Kreg jig for many of the joints.

Now that's an excellent TV console unit! Lots of storage space for all sorts of boxes and remotes and receivers. Even nowadays when so few people collect CDs and LPs, storage space is still a good thing to have!
