Biedermeier-style Desk
Woodworker: Ritter Antik
Created when carved and gilded furniture was the norm, Biedermeier work is notable for its flat surfaces and lack of decoration. This walnut desk is typically spare. The veneers were bookmatched and applied symmetrically around a central axis, often yielding eerie images.
