End Tables
I am a student at the Santa Fe Community College in Santa Fe, NM. This end table was one of three tables with tile. The spare parts were used to make a fourth table. The project was conceived as a production run rather than a typical one of project. I worked three semesters to complete the project.
The tile are based on rock art images from the Sierra San Francisco, Baja California del Sur, Mexico. They were wonderfully executed by Debora Duran-Geiger after illustrations in Harry Crosby’s “The Cave Paintings of Baja California”.
I used ash to construct the tables. The finish is a black grain filler under an oil based wipe on poly.

Seems to be puzzled together as much as joined. Takes a minute for the mind to comprehend what you've created there...a nice end table.
