This is a collectors cabinet popular in Europe during the late 1600’s (Louis XIV). Many different techniques such as mold making, Boulle marquetry, and composition ornament were used.

Collectors cabinets from this period feature many architectural elements. There are 4 mini alters, each one different. There are over 1,000 pieces of ornament used.
Leonardo DaVinci. I sculpted my idol and surrounded him with pictures of 5 major areas of study. DaVinci died at the beginning of the Louis XIV period, so I thought it would be fitting to feature him.
With this piece being so large, I made it so it could be broken down into easier to move parts. Here you can see the three major sections; the table, the body, and the hood.
