Does anyone own one of these, and is it accurate, and would you recommend one?

If you are talking about the wixey digital angle gauge, I got one from woodcraft a few months ago. I used it to check my zero and 45 deg. stops and it was right on the money but I haven't had the opportunity to use it to set odd angles yet. I would recommend it if you tend to build a lot of stuff requiring angles other than 45 degrees, otherwise, it isn't something you'll have a lot of need for.
Haven't tried the Wixey fence system yet but the technology is pretty old now and goes back more than 40 years in the metal industry. Almost 30 years in the wood industry. Wixey has come in with the most inexpensive for the hobby woodworker. They do have a warranty so go for it. http://www.digi-kit.com/
If you think the Wixey is pricey look at the digi-kit or the parent company Accurate Technology. Believe it or not things are cheaper and more plentiful for the woodworker today than they were 30 years ago.

I recently installed the digital fence readout by Accurate Technology on my table saw fence. I did my research between the three companies I could find that offered these(Wixey,Allen something Ind., being the other two.) I had all these sites bookmarked at one time, along with a couple of reviews. I went with the Digikit from Accurate Tech as it seemed to be designed and built better. I didn't like the fact that the Wixeys' readout was placed on the left side of the fence. I was afraid I would drop a panel or board on it as I went to place it on the table for cutting. I've used the Digikit now for several months and so far I like it a lot. It's much easier to find and set a measurement with very precise accuracy and repeatability. In fact when I got it all set up and tuned, I discovered that out of the 8 or 9 tape measures I have, only two of them were as accurate as this system is. And for guys like me that are getting up in age it's much easier to see that large digital readout than a fine hair line on the fence. To me it's been money well spent for the added accuracy and ease. Hope this helps.
Dont want to hijack the thread but this is somewhat related, so here goes. Is anyone using the Wixey, Digi-Kit, or Whatever TS fence readout system in an unheated shop? I looked at the Digi-kit several years ago and called them with some questions. I'm not real concerned with the operating temp. If it's warm enough for woodworking (with or without a space heater running) it's warm enough for the electronics to work. But I'm wondering about long-term longevity of any of the units due to being mounted on a saw in an unheated, uninsulated garage/shop. Does anyone know of any problems caused by cold temperature storage?
If you build it he will come.
