I live in Oklahoma City, OK, and am looking for a local or regional source for wiggle wood. None of the local lumberyards are familiar with it.
If anyone has information on a source, even mail order, I would appreciate the contact information.
Thanks,

no ideas on source, but curious what it is. Never heard of.
Well, I just had to try and find this, LOL!
"Wiggle wood, (heretofore bending stock), is quite simply 3/8" luan species plywood with the grain running in the same direction throughout all of the layers which allows it to "wiggle" or freely bend."
There's some info on it here (but no source yet):

Sorry to interrupt, just couldn't resist the challenge!

check with moulding and trim shops. It goes by Wacky board and several other names.
Try this Google page -- there should be a number of sources there (I searched for "plywood bending stock"):

PS: Evidently, another term for it is "whacky wood." Too funny.

Hi! I live in Norman, OK, and I've bought it from Paxton Lumber in Okla. City. Central Hardwoods in OKC also carries it.Paxton's phone number is 235-4411, and Central Hardwoods' is 232-2556. Another term for "wiggle wood" is for "bending plywood"so you might try asking for it by that name.
Good luck!

A few places here in St Louis carry a sheet good I call bandable birch. It has furniture grade birch veneer on one side. It is a different product, but also works for bent laminations.

I'm surprised it's so hard to find in your part of the country. I first used it 15 years ago or maybe more. Also called wacky wood by some.
