Hi All, I inherited a 14″ champion bandsaw, model unknown. I’m all in to refurbish it and get it running. For the most part, its pretty straight forward. The issue I have is that there were no wheel covers for this … I dont even know if it had covers originally. I would be really hesitant to run it with an open blade. Anybody having suggestions on how to provide protection from the blade would be greatly appreciated. At this point, I’m thinking I’ll need to do a custom fabrication? Thx in advance.

The frame looks to have the mounts for a blade cover. You'll probably have to fabricate something yourself. Check out http://www.vintagemachinery.org/
That site is more geared towards antique tool restoration. They have a ton of old info, including this band saw that looks similar to yours:

Good luck, I just restored an old Delta Band Saw and it was a lot of fun.
