I listen to ’em on the radio in the shop.
Plain old $#$&^* work. I would love to make my avocation my vocation. However it is difficult to compete with Big Lots and Walmart.
I don't get to spend enough time in the shop to really perfect my skills.
At times when I can (rare times) when I get a few days in a row, I can feel myself getting in a rythm, projects come together with little trouble, things turn out well, and I can feel myself growing.
It is really discouraging to try to get 'an hour here and an hour there'.Webby
What stands in my way is the same thing that stands in the way of any enterprise: the high prices. In this case, high prices for most woodworking tools; whether they be hand-tools or power-tools. Many hand-tools are highly priced because they are rare and becoming more so. Power-tools are highly priced because all businesses strive to make ever-increasing profits from their products. That is not a sustainable process. "Ever-increasing Profit for Profit's Sake" is not sustainable and therefore is not a valid policy or procedure. Businesses must come to accept that success is meeting expenses and payroll without damaging our environment in the process.
I agree totally.Webby
Lately it's been the pneumonia that I picked up last week. But, it's usually my 7 year old granddaughter that I take care of 24/7. The wife helps but it's only when she gets home from work & she works turns.
