I have lots of blades but I think Freud offers a wide variety at reasonable prices. There are differences between models and what ones are available at what suppliers. They have consumer models as well as industrial ones. You can find models like their Fusion blades at most big box stores, industrial models are available on line and at suppliers to the trade. These are circular saw blades, which I'm guessing is what you are asking about. You can use combination blades that both rip and crosscut or use dedicated designs just for ripping or crosscutting as well as specialty blades for plywood, plastics, non ferrous metals, etc. There are both full kerf and thin kerf and blades for RAS or miter saws. It helps to match the type of blade to both the saw and your intended use. There are many excellent blades from numerous manufacturers as well as a lot of not so good blades. CMT, Amana, Tenryu, Forrest, are top of the line choices.
For general-purpose bandsaw blades, I like Olson. http://www.olsonsaw.net/index.html
For table saw blades, I like Forrest. http://www.forrestblades.com/
I buy direct in both cases.
Thank you. But do they offer custom welded blades?
custom sizes
Yes, at least they did a few years back when I ordered blades for my old-ish three-wheeled Inca 18" bandsaw. I called to order, rather than using the online ordering.
Oh I see. I'll check on it by today. I actually ordered new Haltbar blade yesterday for resaw.
