A bit away from finewoodworking indeed, but…
I’m about to finish a good deal of tongue and groove pine for me new house…about 2 miles of it!
I would like to use a water based poly with the least amount of yellowing of the finish (or the pine) over the years.
I have tried the Minwax Polycrylic and I am happy with how it looks “today”, but have no idea about long term yellowing. I have heard about the Benjamin Moore “Stays Clear” poly/acrylic finish, and Behr also has something along the same lines.
Anyone have any experience/comments? Interior application only.
Hmmm, I thought a year ago I should do some testing…too late now. Need to start finishing this weekend!
Thanks!

If you do not want the natural ambering that comes with most solvent finishes, then water-based polyurethane is exactly what you want.
As far as different brands are concerned, I don't think it matters much. I used to believe that high cost meant high quality; but then I tried the Olympia brand (known mainly for their outdoor finishes) , and it worked as good or better than anything else I have ever tried. And it was $10/quart.
