Who has used the Wagner HVLP Conversion spray gun and what do you think. I am getting ready to paint some kitchen cabinets with oil base paint, will the Wagner shot this ok ? I have used a Graco HVLP system, that I borrowed, worked well. I have an air compressor and would like to get a conversion gun. I am not going to be spraying everyday, but will be using it more for clear finishes than paint. The Wagner retails around $140.00. Thanks.

Check your compressor for CFM output at the required PSI rating and see what the Wagner gun requires. Some guns need more air than others.
I just picked up the unit with a 2 1/2 gal pot from Gleem Paint (http://www.gleempaint.com). From what everyone's recommendations are, it is a good unit. I am pleased with the quality of the unit for the $. I will be finishing my first peice with it this week. It will also run off my existing compressor which was my main reason for purchasing it.
I have 2 Porter Cable gravity feed HVLP guns that would drain my compressor, they did an OK job, but I wanted something better without laying out $800 - 1000 for a turbine system.
I think Gleem Paint has the gun for $129 and discounted tips when you buy online. Nathan is very helpful on the gun, specs, what it will & won't do.

I have that gun and it well made, especially at $129. You will need to size the tip correctly for oil based paints as the included tip won't shoot the stuff unless you increase the PSI to where the gun is no longer an HVLP.
