video or info.on poerter cable 2012 jig

Hello

My wife recently purchased a porter cable 2012 jig for me and I interested in getting more information on it or what Ai would really like would be a video? i also have a Freud 2200 router and it always started and slowed down and then got up to speed — now the router will not start at all have you had this problem — I have at the Freud repair depot here in Winnipeg. Thankyou,I really appreciate your magazine and help.

Dear Mr. Martin,

Are you talking about the Porter-Cable 4212 dovetail jig--I cannot find mention of a 2012 jig? The 4212 was named Best Value in a 2006 tool test.

We don't have any specific videos on using it, but Tim Albers goes over some of the basics of the jig in this video: http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/ToolGuide/ToolGuideArticle.aspx?id=27094

If you still need more info, I would check out the Delta Porter-Cable library on their Web site: http://www.deltaportercable.com/Library/Library.aspx

And sorry, no info on the Freud, I would contact the manufacturer or post your questions in Knots to see if others have experienced similar problems.
