Does anyone know a web site, or a book, that teaches how to do 8 way hand tied springs? I have two old mission chairs that have springs. I’d like to learn more about the technique for repair as well as making a reproduction of one of the chairs that belonged to my grandpa. Any help, as always, is appreciated. Thanks.

You might find what you're looking for at Van Dyke's Restoration. They have all the materials and a lot of books. http://www.vandykes.com
Check this out Doc
Steinmetz.

Thanks for the responses. I have the Van Dykes catalog, but didn't find what I was looking for. Sure enough, they have the springs and you can order them online. And thanks for the web page with the pictures. That gives me a good starting point. I'm hoping I can find an upholstery book that goes into good detail. If you know of any upholstery books to recommend, let me know. Thanks again for the help.
