Dusty,
Also to Paul (and of course the whole knotty group:)) in the north end of the state(Oregon).
Looking for a vendor. Do you guys use anyone up here? Prefer not to go to CA. or up to Seattle.
High quality, prefer in the metro area. Not fancy or overstuffed, just dining room chair stuff. Seats and backs.
Any Joy?
PM if you prefer. Go Ducks
Thanks,
John

Hi John ,
Sounds like you want a fabricator to buy the finished parts from right ?
Or is it the materials you need ?
is this a mass quantity for a job or for your self , the reason I ask is we may be able to help fabricate and such .

Dusty,I'm doing one set and have another in a few months. Basically wanted to job it out but wanted to try to keep in the metro area so I could easily transport. Just starting to get my ducks in order in this area of manufacture. Just not my bailiwick ya know? I hadn't thought about down south. Let me cogitate. Hate chairs :)Thanks, John
John ,
I'm not sure which town is nearest to you , maybe Florence , have you tried yellow pages for an upholstery business ? They may do what you need or have someone who does .
regards dusty
Dusty,Tried. All TWO are retail. Unless it's near Portland or you know someone down by you there is nothing around here except "well, i gots one on the table and i gots one after that, could fit ya in next yar". Other than Eugene which is mostly car seats and boat tops, it seems like there is nothing until you get down to the bay area. Nothing in Florence.
Do you have good access to choice fabrics/poly/etc. down there?
- Medford? Touch and feel close? Maybe we could work something out after all. Finding the materials of choice seems almost as hard as finding someone who does it. Definitely don't want to do the sample stuff on the internet , pay retail and then still have to find someone to do it. I like wood, not cloth. Is the cabinet business still going well? Custom furniture here is getting a little spotty but we have quite a few 3rd and 4th vacation home owners with a few pennies left.
What has the Salmon loss done to your area? It's sad to see the fleet just sitting here in Newport. The big ones go up to AK to spill to the harvesters but the small ones, well, the're hurtin. Going to be a rough winter for their families.Best,John
I know this guy through some internet connections
