Hello, I recently built a victorian style plant hanger. I applied Formby’s tung oil varnish to the wood. In hind sight i wonder if i should have picked a better finish as water may occasionally come in contact with the piece. Is there anything i can do at this point to add a better protection to the wood? It will be an indoor plant hanger. Thanks.I forgot to mention that the wood i used was walnut.

As long as you have at least a few coats on it and the water doesn't stand for a long time you should be fine.
