I own a wonderful Bosch 13.3 volt drill driver and the batteries have run their useful life. Replacing the batteries is cost prohibitive. I can buy a new unit with two batteries for about the same cost as two replacement batteries. I hate the thought of throwing away a perfectly good drill driver. I though I saw a reference somewhere to companies that will rebuild the rechargeable batteries for a reasonable cost. do you know where I can locate this service? I would also be interested in finding anyone who has tried the rebuild service.

If you do a google search for "battery rebuild service" you'll find several companies that can do the job. I have no direct experience with any company so it might be worth asking on the regular Knots site. With luck you might get some feedback about specific rebuilders.

I had the same problem an opted for a new drill.
I wired up my old drill with a cigarette plug and keep it on my boat. That way I always have a useable drill available as I have no way of recharging a cordless away from the dock.

thanks for the suggestion. I have already purchased a new drill. I am going to try a battery rebuild. the old bosch has a wonderful feel. it is nice to have one set up for drilling and one for screw driving.
