I am refinishing a large Teak dining tale for our sailboat and was wondering of anyone had any suggestions for finishing the surface.

I'd use a good varnish. Two choices that particularly come to mind would be Behlen Rockhard or Waterlox Gloss (or Satin). (I am assuming that this table is for the salon (or is it saloon), so that it does not need the UV protection of a marine spar varnish. The spar varnish isn't a good choice because it is relatively soft, due to the needed flexibility. These varnishes would also be a bit more water resistant than the spar varnish.
I have just finished a set of companionway boards for a friend's sailboat. I now have to make a new table for her.
I did some research last year and came up with a primer sealer adhesive ehancer called Flash Bond 300.
Made by XIM Products, Inc.

PH: 440.871.4737 | FX: 440.871.3027
That will be followed by Sikkens Cetol Marine finish.
Won't know if it help to add the primer until the items have seen a full years service.

maybe overkill for your application, but I used epifanes "PP Varnish" for a teak bathroom/shower frame and window frame (holds a stained glass window). I makes a very hard and durable finish on the teak, and appears to be clear, maybe a little amber colored. I think it gave nice results, and the formulation is made for oily woods like teak and in a wet environment.
Its a two part mix, and needs some thinning. I bought it from Jamestown Distributors.
